Install the flipIT System and rebuild the way your desktop is organized for computing, writing and learning. The flipIT™ Kit comes with everything you need to mount your new or existing LCD monitor. Must comply with VESA standards - 95% of LCD displays incorporate required 75mm x 75mm or 100mm x 100mm mounting holes

The flipIT System will change the way you view your computer, increase equipment and data security to meet HIPAA and Homeland Security requirements and free up valuable desk space for those times when your computer is not in use.

flipIT® LCD Display Support System is offered in 3 sizes:

FIK-18 is for 4:3 aspect ratio 19" LCDs with case width up to 17.5" (444mm) Please note that some widescreen LCDs have case widths OVER 17.5 inches. This model is being phased out. Available while supplies last.

FIK-19 is for 16:9 aspect ratio 20" LCDs with case width up to 19.25" (489mm) Please note that some widescreen LCDs have case widths OVER 19.25 inches. Specify FIK-23 for larger widescreen LCDs.

FIK-23 is for 16:9 widescreen LCDs with case width up to 23.25" (590.5mm)

These models are also available without keyboard tray and have T-handle cable releases to actuate opening. Key locks are optional.

flipIT Laptop Safe

FIL-18 flipIT® Laptop Safe fits the same cut-out as the FIK-18 flipIT® LCD Support System. Works with laptop case dimensions 16" wide x 11.5" deep x 2.5" thick.

Widescreen FIL-23 flipIT® Laptop Safe fits the same cut-out as FIK-23 Widescreen flipIT® LCD Support System.

Maximum Laptop Case Dimensions:
22.25" (565mm) w x 14.625" (371mm) x 2.5"(63mm) thick.

The 17" Widescreen laptop shown is
15.375" (390mm) w x 10.25" (260mm) d x 1" (25.4mm) thick.

flipIT® Kits are available with black tops, or unfinished so manufacturers can laminate tops to suit.

When flipIT® is specified with SMARTdesks products, tops are typically matched to the table or desk laminate choice. We also make contrasting tops to suit designer choices.

If custom tops are required for flipIT® Kits, price and lead time will be affected. We will do our best to accommodate.

flipIT 23, 19 and 18 compared for maximum case width

Please note: The flipIT® 18 is available while supplies last, by special request. As the widescreen format is becoming more prevalent, the flipIT® 19 is the preferred size for most classroom settings where up to 20" widescreens are used.

24" widescreen monitors require the flipIT® 23. Please check the specifications of your monitor case width to be sure of compatibility.

flipIT Kit FIK-18

The flipIT® Kit is now available without keyboard

flipIT Cable Release

flipIT Kit FIH-18 without Keyboard Tray
Includes a cable release to operate the flipIT mechanism. Accommodates standard (15" - 18" and some 19")
LCD monitors up to 17.5" wide (outside dimension)

flipIT Cable Release installed

The flipIT® Cable Release is used when you specify FIH-18, the flipIT Kit without a Keyboard Tray. This allows applications for touchscreens or when an articulated keyboard tray is desired, such as the AK9 dual arm articulated keyboard tray shown above. Please note that if you are substituting other keyboard trays, they must be dual-arm and wide enough to straddle the flipIT: 22 inches minimum. The AK9 is wider than the minimum.

Installation requires craftsmanship using these basic tools.
