This offers greater mental concentration and impetus to retain study materials for occupants of the room. <\/span><br \/>\n<b>Across a Crowded Room <\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">When a room has a &#8220;crowded&#8221; feeling, it usually includes hidden spaces that can be mentally distracting and unsettling to the senses. The proper room design for learning potential should offer a sense of &#8220;breathing room&#8221; and mobility. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The colors in the design of a room also play a large role in learning potential. For decades, psychologists have reported that colors influence the mind. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Room colors have the ability to be distracting and also evoke personal experiences related to specific color schemes. There are several colors that influence learning potential in a room used for studying. In many rooms where study is performed, even the color of a computer screen can have an influence on learning potential. The computer screen color should be visually relaxing to the eyes. <\/span><br \/>\n<b>Design a Room for Learning Potential <\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to the colors in a room, furnishings also encourage learning potential. It is essential that the furnishings offer a balanced appeal visually and that the location of furniture be conducive to at least two to three hours of study. <\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The room&#8217;s design should not appear too &#8220;sterile&#8221; and should provide adequate acoustics to offset &#8220;white noise&#8221; that is prevalent in the background. There should be provision for sufficient light either from windows or lamps. <\/span><br \/>\n<b>Convenient Access to Study Materials <\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Along with comfortable, sturdy furniture like a desk or long table, accessible book shelves and a small file for archived research documents, there should be convenient access to study materials located within a few steps from a desk and chair. <\/span><br \/>\n<b>Hi-Tech Accessories <\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In addition to a computer or laptop, a room should be designed with a large white board which can be electronically accessed with a remote control or used manually. This works well with students in hi tech studies like math and science who find a large white board essential to graphical representations that are part of their studies. <\/span><br \/>\n&nbsp;<br \/>\n<b>The Best Way to Know How Room Design Influences Learning Potential <\/b><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For many individuals, the most accurate method to know how a room design influences learning potential is to take notice of other formal study places. For example, take note of the room design of a library or a study lab at a school or college.
